Squad lead for DataStage, a SaaS data integration product on Cloud Pak for Data (CPD), IBM’s data and artificial intelligence (AI) platform. Partnered with 10+ product teams to drive projects that promoted consistent and functional experiences across products, the CPD platform, and all of IBM design.

  • Led the UX, UI, and interaction design to modernize DataStage’s canvas experience from conceptual designs to general availability, contributing to IBM being named a leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Data Integration Tools from 2019-2023

  • Spearheaded initiatives for IBM’s Carbon design system, resulting in the publishing of multiple design patterns, 20+ components, and dozens of icons

  • Fostered collaboration between design, development, and product management, improving communication by initiating regular project planning sessions that resulted in a 33% reduction of design backlog

Technical project lead for the design and construction of transportation infrastructure in the Puget Sound region, including two $1.9 billion light rail projects.

  • Instrumental in revamping the agency’s design environment, creating and refining design specifications, patterns, guidelines, and processes to adapt to a 500% increase in project activity from 2011-2015

  • Launched efficiency measures and developed tools and procedural documents that contributed to the $1.9 billion University Link project finishing six months early
